A lot of interviews

The moment I arrived at the airport in Zambia I also found a reporter. He asked questions and shot some photos and I appeared in the times of Zambia

Other media that I had was radio Phoenix, one of Zambia’s radio stations and BBC radio (see picture). And i did interviews with the Zambian National broadcasting Cooperation. They came at the Jack CECUP school. I was interviewed and they did some shooting of my daily life at school. I explained a lot.

One of the questions i remember is how did you feel during the trip. Because it was my first time to fly out of the country. I told them that it was very exciting and also scary because it was very far. They also asked about the difference between schools in Zambia and schools in Netherlands. I explained them that in Netherlands a child can not be at home while the friends are at school. They have to go to school. And here in Zambia you can find that maybe the parents can not pay school fees or school facilities like books and other stuff.

I told them that i have the dream that even children in Zambia can all go to school and enjoy the rights to education as a child. Because that is the most important right for a child.

I want to thank the Zambian media for taking note that a girl from their country went out and received an award.

Just found your blog. It must have been very exciting to travel that far on seventeen.

I just write you because by coincidence I was in Zambia the time of your trip. So our experiences were opposite. I have lived most of the time in Libala Lusaka being among Africans the month I was there. I was not alone however because my girlfriend there took very good care of me.

Improving the sitution for children in Zambia is urgent I noticed, because there are so many. It was really strange to see so many children coming in and out of schools in Lusaka. In the provinces there were also children everywhere and many were trying to sell fruits instead of being in school still.

The children of my girlfriends family were all attending very good schools, but that comes at a price most Zambians just can not afford. So any result you can book improving the situation of the average and poor children in Zambia will mean a lot. If you have the time to read my blog maybe you will see a picture of Clive Chongo who was an orphan being sponsored by a couple from the Netherlands. Thanks to his education he has a good job now, instead of still making bricks.

Keep up the good work. I will look at your blog now and then and keep you in mind.
